It's true my soon to be exsoninlaw (is that a word?) was raised as a scientologist. He said they have been known to even kill some that have left.

there are 2 classes of ex Jehovahs witnesses
by the max inhi im part of a group of ex jh,s, we meet for drinks and dinner, go to football games.many of the guys do drugs,(i dont, i like sport) , most live very hedonistic lifestyles, lets leave it at that,(im happily married).
my point is, when i left, i was honest, and got df,d.
now im experiencing the same kind of shit that i experieced in the hall, the ex jw,s are just as judgemental, and stupid as when they were at the kingdom hall, for eg you were df,d we were not,it doesnt matter to them, that their doing coke and getting into group sex.

In Kansas in the ruals there were a lot of farm dogs. They would piss all our cars, jump up on us and some times chase us around the farm houses.
One day I found a can of pepper spray in the street that our mail man had droped.
One day these two really mean dogs came running up to the car barking. I roled down the car window and gave them a shot of spray. They went nuts. I didn't see the home owner on the porch.
He came running out and screaming at us "What in the hell are you guys doing to my dogs. Who are you guys?"
"We're Mormons" I droped the car in drive and gunned it out of there.... in a cloud of dust.

Have a good Easter weekend.
by tec ini'm going to my parents for this long weekend, along with my boys, my aunt and her twin boys (same age as my oldest), and our pup.
will be a busy and bustling weekend, seeing as the basement recently flooded, so that area is now off-limits.
so for the next five days, the four and a half hour drive tomorrow is going to be the only quiet time i think i'm going to get, lol.. however, my mother is going to have a big pot of homemade chili waiting for us... and that alone would be worth the drive and the craziness :).

"I'm OK... Your OK" What Books Have You Read, That Have Changed Your Life?
by Was New Boy inthe first book i read (that wasn't a novel or school asigned) that change my life was "i'm ok your ok." i read it when i was back in bethel.. it puts forth the idea that all of us have three major qualities in dealing with life.. the adult personality..... is the concept of reason.
it ask the questions of why, when, who, where, what.. the child personality.....playfullness and emotional and sometimes irrational.. the parent personality....the parent has all the rules/dogma.
this is what is right.... and that is wrong.. it said that the churchs were always "parental.

It said that the churchs were always "Parental." With the additude of "We know what is really best for you...since you are only a child"
I really didn't what to believe it at the time. I was hoping that "my church" would be more like an adult.
Well... I found out the book was right. Churches never want to encourage reason.....reason is like death for the churches.
That is why they only want your obedience!....just like your mother lol.

Were You Ever Treated "Differently" Because One of Your Family Members Was Disfellowshipped?
by Was New Boy in"by their love"...... shunning in the "borg" many times has effected not just the person that was dfed but other family members too.. my father was dfed in 1962 for "rebeliousness against the organization" he wanted to go to a different kh than we were assigned to.
needless to say that decision was later reversed.. that was strange, but how the witnesses treated my mother, sister and myself....was even stranger.
it was as if.... we now had some kind of leprosy.

I'm really grateful that this behavior is fagrant....because how long can "Dumbs" ....stay dumb to the fact that their organization that they say is built on love.....is really built on pride and fear!
